Michael Rech

Michael Rech writes and illustrates under the nom de plume Zerocalcare (the name riffs on a brand of limestone remover, and he is sometimes nicknamed “Limestone”) and is a popular Italian cartoonist and blogger in the underground style. He had a monthly cartoon in the Italian edition of WIRED, and has published several collections of his blogs.

Tim Hedrick and Mitch Iverson

Tim Hedrick

Tim Hedrick is an Emmy and Peabody Award–winning writer and producer. Over the past decade, he has written or produced shows for networks including NBC, CBS, ESPN, HBO, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and MTV.  He wrote on Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra, and is currently head writer of DreamWorks Animation’s Voltron Legendary Defender, debuting exclusively on Netflix. He is an alumnus of the Graduate Screenwriting Program at the University of Southern California. He lives in Los Angeles.

Mitch Iverson

Mitch Iverson is a staff writer on DreamWorks Animation’s Voltron Legendary Defender. He loves comic books, giant robots, and all things sci-fi. He lives with his fiancée, Trish, and his dog, Elway, in Hollywood, California. He can frequently be seen browsing the aisles of his local comic book store in Hollywood.

MK Reed is the author of the graphic novels AmericusThe Cute Girl Network, Palefireand Science Comics: Dinosaurs. She also writes and draws the webcomic About A Bull. Her work has appeared in anthologies like PapercutterChainmail BikiniThe Big Feminist But, and the Swedish magazine Galago. Americus was the winner of NAIBA’s 2012 Carla Cohen Free Speech Award and was a 2011 American Booksellers for Children’s New Voices title. MK lives in Portland, Oregon, with her very tall husband.

David F. Walker is an award-winning comic book writer, author, filmmaker, journalist, and educator. His work in comic books includes Power Man and Iron Fist, Occupy Avengers, Shaft (Dynamite Entertainment), winner of the 2015 Glyph Award for Story of the Year, Fury, Secret Wars: Battleworld (Marvel Comics), Cyborg (DC Comics), The Army of Dr. Moreau (IDW/Monkeybrain Comics), and Number 13 (Dark Horse Comics). In 2015, he wrote the novel Shaft’s Revenge, the first new novel starring private detective John Shaft in nearly 40 years.
